The map
The outline of India comes from Natural Earth (1:10m, India point of view) and was compared line by line with the Survey of India's 1:16 million political map: median difference 2 km, with all of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands present. It shows no state borders and no historical borders.
Distances and scores
- Distances: great-circle distance on a sphere of radius 6371.0088 km, tested against Karney (2013) geodesic reference values to within 0.5%.
- Map projection: Lambert conformal conic with India's national parameters, tested against Snyder (1987) and EPSG:7755.
- Scores: within 25 km = 10, 50 km = 8, 100 km = 6, 200 km = 3, farther = 0; a hint costs 2 points.
- Review schedule: FSRS-6 (via ts-fsrs), tested against the library's published reference sequences.
